American pro Erik Seidel has won the record-breaking PokerStars Monte-Carlo® Casino EPT Grand Final €100k Super High Rolle for €2,015,000 after a tense heads-up battle against Polish whiz kid Dzmitry Ubranovich.

The 55-year-old from New York has now accrued more than $24 million mark in live tournament winnings and moved up to #3 in the all-time money list, just behind Antonio Esfandiari and Team PokerStars Pro Daniel Negreanu. Being one of the most prolific players in poker history, Seidel has collected eight WSOP bracelets in his career. His first cash dates back to 1988 when he was runner-up to Johnny Chan at the World Series, an event which took place seven years before Urbanovich was even born.

Today's heads-up match followed a gripping final and was a spectacular battle of the generations. Even though Urbanovich is still only 19, he has already had huge impact in the poker world. His portfolio includes record-breaking four event wins at EPT Malta as well as both PokerStars SCOOP and WCOOP titles.

But it was experience that prevailed tonight. Entering the heads-up duel as a 1:3 underdog, Seidel made an impressive comeback and went on to achieve one of the greatest results of 27-year-long career - matching his Aussie Millions Super High Roller AU$2.5 million win (if we count the "at that time" currency rate).

Not many players can sustain a track record for too long but Seidel has been proving his ablilities for nearly three decades. Before his EPT Grand Final hit, he had already won more than $1 million this year.

Young gun Urbanovich also deserves applause as well. He did not manage to secure another trophy for his (mainly Maltese) collection, but managed to earn €1,446,600 for the second place. It took him only two days of playing as well, becuase unlike most of the contestants, he only joined in the fray at the beginning of Day 2. His amazing performance takes him to the top spot in Poland's all-time money list, ahead of PCA 2014 champ Dominik Panka.

Season 9 Super High Roller champion Max Altergott bust in third place today to add another €940,300 to take his lifetime winnings to $4.6 million. Start-of-day chip leader Dario Sammartino turned a €10k live satellite seat in to a fifth-place finish worth €551,000 - way the biggest cash of his career.
