Recently, there has been a huge number of reports of PokerStars accounts being hacked - all of the hacking were done in similar matter, and it's still unclear how they happened. Few of the players have also reported that their funds were never recovered. LiquidPoker would advise our players to increase the security measures on their PokerStars accounts to prevent any possible option of being hacked by using additional options available to every player.
Here are you options:
1) RSA Token (requires spending money)
This is the most secure and reliable version of additional protection on your account. Through PokerStars VIP shop you can order a special, small, stand-alone device that creates an additional string of numbers that is required upon every login to your PokerStars account (after you provide you password of course). This method should be, theoretically, unbreachable, unless the attack has physical access to your RSA device.
You can read more about RSA Tokens here:

However, as RSA tokens are not free, here are the remaining options available without spending extra money:
2)PokerStars PIN protection
A PokerStars PIN’ is a six digit number that is issued by PokerStars, in addition to your password. Once a PokerStars PIN is set for your account, you will be required to enter your PokerStars PIN number by clicking on an on-screen keypad, every time you login.
Each time you try to login to your PokerStars account, the numbers will change position. That will stop most keyloggers from recording where you click and what buttons you press and help to protect the security of your account.

3) SMS validation
When activated, you will receive a SMS text message with a secret code when potential irregularities with the operation of your PokerStars account are detected by PokerStars systems.
The ability to conduct real money transactions (including deposit, cash out, transfer, tournament registrations and cash games play) will be suspended until you enter the secret code (that was sent by SMS text message) into the PokerStars software when prompted.

Last, but not least - make sure you have a strong password for your poker account which you don't use anywhere else and a clean computer (with anti-virus and firewall installed).
