Ali Tekintamgac, the cheater from Germany that caused a huge uproar back in 2010 has been sentenced to time in prison.

Tekintamgac caused a lot of discussion on the poker forums, after some players analysed videos from Partouche Poker Tour and came to conclusion that he used third-party help, fake bloggers from non-existent sites, to signal the strength of his opponent's hands after looking at players hands during the play.

Tekintamgac was disqualified from the event, but soon he played in WPT Championship causing Daniel Negreanu to raise another chaos after this situation happened: "Ali Tekintamgac who was caught cheating in Partouche is in #WPTChamp I called him out, and floor told ME I can't do that! When will we learn?"

Now, it's finally over and Tekintamgac, who pleaded guilty during the trial, was sentenced to three years and five months in prison on July 11 by the Augsburg District Court for repeatedly cheating at the poker table.

To get the video to work, you need to remove the letter "S" from HTTPS. Also, add a space after the first spoiler tag so it looks like this: [spoiler] http://

I couldn't catch anything incriminating in the video.

Why are people allowed to be around players anyway?! That's so bad on so many levels

This small time cheat goes to jail for 3.5 years. FTP execs steal millions from players (eg. pokerstars), USA takes the money from FTP execs (players, eg pokerstars). Execs walk free + some profits. USA gets paid. I wish the USA actually prosecuted them for fucking us all so hard.

I have learned from poker that being at the table is not a grind, the grind is living and poker is how I pass the time

at the risk of sounding immoral, from time to time i talk to students at highschool and college level, and a "point" i try and make about crime, is why get caught committing blue collar crime. it's all about the white collar crime. so much less jail time if any, for making quite literally millions off selling worthless mortgage backed securities. btw the jails tehy get sent to are like luxury resorts. they don't even go to the same jails the niggahs go to.

obv im an ethical person and these presentations/points are supposed to pique interest.

Will prob take a little heat for this, but I don't think FTP execs did anything wrong in the grand scheme of things. Banks spend/invest 90% of all the money on deposit because they know everyone would have to withdraw money at the same time to go broke which is unlikely...same with a poker site. We should be saying fuck the USA/prosecuting governments not the businesses that do shady shit.

From the info in the OP it seems like they posed as bloggers for a poker site and were granted closer access to report on the event or w/e.

Still pretty ridiculous they were allowed to be right behind him though.

your concept is correct, the facts of FTP are not the same

They paid out of players money huge sums to each other as founder bonus', they were running out of total operating funds + player funds because they couldn't stop paying each other bonuses from the money that they went 'allin'. They had $50million + some extra million in their total account and blew it going allin on USA advertising + bonus' to get new churn from fish deposits. They were suppose to have over $330 million in just player account numbers

Once they ran out of all their money, only had 3million left TOTAL in ftp accounts (supposed to have 330million++) black friday happened. FTP were completely shut out of USA market, they had to transfer money back from their personal bank accounts where they had siphoned out all the money from paying each other bonus, They threw 35million back into FTP accounts within a week.

That isn't leverage banking, that is siphoning off the majority of money towards personal profit and than the rest for operating costs/marketing

the $35 million they injected was then used to purposefully manipulate the international player accounts by limiting cash withdrawals size amounts and time frames in hopes of getting new fish deposits. They directly deceived international accounts during this time with info saying everything was fine with company finances and player account money was safe. Within a couple months the $35 million was gone and they did not inject more stolen player funds back into accounts, leaving behind over 300million in outstanding player account money loss, something like $170million international accounts.

Every single week I maxed out my withdrawals and couldn't get all the money out in time. It took pokerstars getting swindled to see the rest of mine and everyone else' money. A Miracle.

That is why I don't care what happens to pokerstars now. I hope they don't change or leave canada or ban HS tables but literally every day since Black Friday is owed to pokerstars business run by w/e that CEO founder guy name is. He earned every dollar of that $4.5 billion

My father did two stints, one 3 years, one 10 years, in white collar prison. He fucked up 1000s of peoples lives. Prison is an evil place. They put you to work and you are not compensated for your work. If you are a prisoner or a criminal suddenly you have no rights and become a slave for the prison. The prison wants more prisoners so they can have more slaves. Make more money. I dont care if you are in prison, you should be compensated for your work. You work 20 years in prison and get out with absolutely nothing? Holy shit goddamn thats wrong.
