The European Poker Tour today announced that Suesswaren Grasel will be the Official Chocolate Partner of EPT Season 11 and Season 12.
Suesswaren Grasel is an Austrian family owned company, specializing in the distribution of traditional Austrian confectionery and beverages. They are best known as the distributor of Milka, Toblerone, and Mirabell Mozart branded chocolate – Austria’s sweetest export. Suesswaren Grasel will provide at least 3,000 bars of chocolate at each EPT event to be distributed to players throughout the season.
As part of the sponsorship, Suesswaren Grasel will be the headline sponsor for one side event at every EPT poker festival during Season 11, kicking off with the Grasel Sweets Super Stack at EPT Barcelona, a two-day, €220 No Limit Hold’em event taking place on August 26.
This new sponsorship is a further expansion of mainstream brands sponsoring the EPT. Skullcandy recently became the official audio partners of EPT Season 11. Players acquired a taste for chocolate-themed poker tournaments at EPT 10 Vienna where glamorous hostesses gave out more than 300 kg of chocolate to players and spectators during the popular Mozart Mega Stack, and in Sanremo where Milka Easter Chocolate were distributed to celebrate the Easter weekend. Suesswaren Grasel’s owner Joachim Grasel is a keen poker player and enjoys competing in EPT side events.
Joachim Grasel said: “This new partnership with the European Poker Tour will allow players to try something new and sweet. We are excited to share our chocolates with thousands of players in the European Poker Tour.”
EPT President Edgar Stuchly said: “We are certain that players will think this is a sweet new addition on the EPT circuit. Suesswaren Grasel distribute some great chocolate, and we are very pleased to welcome Suesswaren Grasel as the latest mainstream sponsor for the upcoming seasons.”
