iPoker network adds Anonymous Tables to their software
iPoker Network made a new addition to its software after extensive tests on their flagship poker room TitanPoker. From now on all players can enjoy anonymous tables, which completely remove any possible form of identifying the player. Anonymous tables are currently available for No-Limit Hold’em games (NL2 through NL100).
Whole idea is simple: make it impossible for more advanced players to take advantage by using data mining and hand analysis software like PokerTracker or Hold’em Manager. Each of those programs gathers data on players and then displays accurate statistic representing the way each person plays, making it possible to exploit weak points of that player.
Rafa Nadal to be main character of new PokerStars TV campaign
PokerStars announced the release of a major new television advertising campaign featuring tennis superstar Rafa Nadal. The TV advertisements will air globally in coming weeks and revolve around Rafa Nadal competing online at PokerStars against a fictional character representing one of the sites 50 million players.
In the first, 30-second advertisements, Rafa Nadal, the 11-time tennis grand slam champion, plays against the fictional Lucia Arroyo, whose previous height of competitive achievement was placing second in a local pillow fight.
“You can’t simply turn up at a tennis tournament and expect to play against Rafa Nadal,” said PokerStars Chief Marketing Officer Alex Payne. “But if you’re over 18 years old you can register to play on PokerStars and have the opportunity to compete against Rafa and other high-profile athletes from the comfort of your own home.”
