Zynga to offer real money poker in the UK

Social media games giant Zynga and bwin.party have announced a partnership to offer real money online poker and casino games in the UK market. According to the official press release, Zynga's customers will share bwin.party's poker network player pool, which includes PartyPoker, EmpirePoker, WPTPoker, GamebookersPoker, and DanskeSpil. Zynga plans to launch the new site in the first half of 2013.

"Bringing together Zynga's expertise in social gaming with the top international real money gaming operator is the best way to create the highest quality gaming experiences for our players in the UK," said Barry Cottle, Executive Vice President, Corporate and Business Development, Zynga. "Partnering with an established leader like bwin.party is a strategic and prudent way for us to enter a key RMG market while giving local players the real money games they've been asking us for."

Well, there are several reason to be excited. First of all, the player pool can potentially dramatically increase. This means you have more and more options to play against different types of players. Secondly, Zynga can use their experience in gaming to give real money poker players a unique and exciting experience at the poker table. Finally, it is important to remember that Zynga has most of the facebook market who are interested in poker. So, if the US decides to finally legalise online poker, UK players may have instant chances to play against players from this area.
