One of the poker world’s smartest, most successful and fearless young talents, Isaac ‘philivey2694’ Haxton has joined PokerStars as the latest member of Team Online. The high stakes pro, who is one of the best known players never to have represented a poker site, has chosen to make PokerStars his home because he believes in what the world’s most popular poker site represents.

Commenting on the deal and what he’s most looking forward to about being a Team Online member, Haxton said: “I’m excited for the new opportunities this partnership brings. I’m not just playing for myself now – I’m representing a team and a brand. That brings new opportunities and new responsibilities.”

Haxton first made his name when he finished second in the 2007 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Main Event, winning $861,789. Since then he has continued to be successful in live tournaments, finishing runner-up in the WSOP $40,000 NL Hold’em event in 2009 to pocket $1,168.565 and third in the $25,000 High Roller tourney at the 2012 PCA for $380,730. He now has over $4 million in live winnings to his name.

However, it’s at the online cash tables where Isaac Haxton is perhaps most feared. He took part in three SuperStar Showdown matches against Viktor ‘Isildur1’ Blom, winning two of them, which is no mean feat, and regularly sits in the biggest NL Hold’em cash games on PokerStars. Haxton has also appeared on the PokerStars Big Game TV show, playing against the likes of fellow Team PokerStars players Jason Mercier, Barry Greenstein and 13-time WSOP winner Phil Hellmuth.

Future challenges
Now that he’s a fully-fledged Team Online member, Haxton is keen to take on some new challenge matches to prove his poker prowess against other PokerStars players. But that’s not his only goal, as he says, “I want to make Supernova Elite in 2012 playing mostly heads-up Sit & Go’s. I also want to learn Pot Limit Omaha and play some heads-up No Limit Hold’em cash matches.”

Would have been kewl to see him join FTP. I personally don't give a shit when top pro's go to PS, probably because they have so many pro's already.

Ok, maybe not so secretly.

How much do you weigh? Maybe we can setup a less epic version of the Raszi vs. Elky match.

6'4, 210

Considering how broke I am right now, it would definitely be a far less epic version haha

catch weight 180

Browsing through your hand histories makes me wonder that you might not be aware these games are possibly play money. Have you ever tried to cash out? - Kapol

What kind of reach do you have? You should've got into boxing.

^ Dunno how to properly measure my reach. But, I just checked right now, and it said 27 inches from my armpit to the tip of my fingers.

I'm now sure how to properly measure my reach though, since MMA and boxing do it differently from each other. You'll see a guy with a 27 inch reach in boxing, then see someone with a 70 inch reach in MMA.

^ Someday I'd end up running into someone like Sergio Martinez, and I don't want to get KO`ed like the tall+skinny Paul Williams did, that fool looked dead for a minute.

But yeah, I was always into boxing when I was younger, I just never had any male figures around me to push me into sports, even though I enjoyed playing them.

Growing up brown in America, what can I say.
