Just a little over two months ago we informed you that PokerStars and Viktor "Isildur1" Blom decided to part ways, and now it is clear why. Full Tilt Poker today announced that two of the biggest names in online poker – Tom “durrrr” Dwan and Viktor “Isildur1” Blom – are going to form a new team of Full Tilt Poker ambassadors known collectively as “The Professionals.” The third person of the team is Gus Hansen, who was announced as a face of FTP a little over a week ago.

Tom "durrrr" Dwan is one of the most influential and successful players in online poker who became one of the most recognized and competitive high-stakes players on Full Tilt Poker. The 26- year-old American has reached multiple WSOP and WPT final tables and accrued more than $2 million in live tournament winnings. He was also a regular on the highest stakes TV shows including High Stakes Poker, Poker After Dark, and the Million Dollar Cash Game.

Full Tilt Poker’s Head of Marketing Sarne Lightman said: “Tom is one of the most feared and respected players in the world today. His exploits at the Full Tilt Poker tables generated a huge following in the poker community and we are thrilled to bring that action back for our players.” Dwan added: “I’m very excited that Full Tilt Poker is re-launching. I think it is great for poker and I’m excited to be a part of it.”

Viktor "Isildur1" Blom appeared out of nowhere on the poker scene over a year ago, wrecking havoc at the highest stakes possible. By now, Blom is best-known for his hyper-aggressive poker style and the speed with which he first made an impact on the game. Besides his huge success online, Blom also managed to prove himself as a live player: he won a $100K Super High Roller at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure in January 2012 for just over $1.25 million and made a deep runs in several European Poker Tour and WSOP events.

Isildur1 commented: “I always loved playing on the Full Tilt Poker software, it is where I made my name and enjoyed some of my greatest victories. When they approached me about joining the team I knew this was the right fit for me.”

The 3 names FTP has so far are worth more than all of the major names at PS. Hopefully FTP re-opens before the end of the year.

Rekrul is a newb

so far so good

Money was never a big motivation for me, except as a way to keep score. The real excitement is playing the game

too bad for Dwan, he will instantly lose 1.5million + another .5-1million to jungleman in their challenge

I have learned from poker that being at the table is not a grind, the grind is living and poker is how I pass the time
