Main Event of World Series of Poker 2012 started with 6598 players, and by now we are down to final three tables with 27 players left in game! Today in the evening the game will resume, and Marc Ladouceur will be starting the fight for the final table as a chip leader. That means we are less then 24 hours from knowing the full November Nine, which will return later this year to fight for the championship title and main prize worth $8,527,982 .

As it happens every year, with decreasing number of players, number of recognizable poker players names also dropped down. Day 5 was the last day for players like Gavin Smith, David Baker, Amnon Fillipi and Jason Somerville.
The most recognizable woman in poker, Vanessa Selbst also busted on day five. At the start of the day she lost a massive coin-flip holding A-J against 4-4. She doubled up soon after, but being short stacked anyway she decided to push with Qh7s from button and got called by Ac8c. It was still anybody's pot on the flop 7c2cTs, but turn and river cards (6h and 9d) eliminated Vanessa from the tournament.

We still have two women left in the Main Event: Elisabeth Hille, currently 5th in chips, and Gaelle Baumann ranked 20th.

Amongst non-eliminated players we still have PokerStars team Pro Jan Heitmann. Few people might also be familiar with names like Wong, Merson, and Jammie Robbins.

I don't know anyone, but what i do know is Gaelle was running hotter than the sun and pwned up tim0thee

I have learned from poker that being at the table is not a grind, the grind is living and poker is how I pass the time

The problem with the world is that everyone is a few drinks behind.Last edit: 16/07/2012 16:10

Sorry if this comes off as condescending, but there are a few spelling mistakes in your article.

"cheap leader"
"Vanbessa"
and
"two woman" should be "women" left in the tourney

Sry again, I'm just trying to help here.

Btw, the hungarian guy who got away with that ridiculous ruling yesterday apparently made another stupid error today - after raising and getting 3-bet on, he pushed all-in and exposed his cards when asked "how much is it" because he thought he got called. Got a sitout penalty for his trouble, lol.

Supposedly, his English is very poor, that's why he keeps making mistakes (he's a pretty seasoned player iirc). Still kinda sad

Oh and he's still in the top27 apparently, as a shortstack (was 3rd in chips for a while).

My favourite line is Bet/Fold. I bet, you fold.Last edit: 17/07/2012 03:10

Thanks for pointing that out, started writing news in MS Word instead of Firefox since it crashes 10 times an hour (flash player) and I'm not used to using spell check there Corrected. In the future don't hesitate to just bombard me with a private msg if you see anything wrong, I can react faster that way.

As for WSOP rulings, I'm seriously surprised at some, I guess dealers mistakes are easy to explain, since they hire a ton of people with zero experience, but mistakes from tournament director/poker room floorman are really stunning and unforgivable.
This Hungarian guy is running hot, not the first person to do that, I wonder when the luck stops though

I think he also played pretty solid, apart from the mistakes pointed out already - that 'little' rungood got him to the final 9 2nd in chips, the only non-USA player left in the field

My favourite line is Bet/Fold. I bet, you fold.
