Forty two players have already confirmed their participation in the special $1,000,000 poker event ($111,111 of each buy-in goes to Guy Laliberté's One Drop Foundation) that will take place at this year's World Series of Poker. The Big One for One Drop is scheduled to take place on July 1st at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, and it will be the first event ever to award an exclusive Platinum WSOP bracelet, instead of regular gold one.

The event has a 48-player cap, which would mean the first prize would be worth ~$18 million. As mentioned, 42 players have already confirmed their entry, and 2 more spots are actually reserved and awaiting for confirmation.
That leaves the tournament open with only 4 slots, and now we were informed that that cap won't be increased. Only way possible for more players to enter the event is if there is enough buy-in's into the special $25,300 buy-in satellite:
"For every 40 entries, we will award a seat into the Big One," explained WSOP communications manager, Palansky. "Therefore, if 80 or more players enter that Mega Satellite, there is a possibility that the cap increases. This is because regulations to run this event require us to award a seat for every 40 entries.
No one knows what to expect for that Mega Satellite. If 40 players don’t sign up, we are guaranteeing the first seat anyway."

God damn it idiots you'll be on Television why not just permit them to disclose your names...

Firstly why the fuck do you care?

Secondly, they aren't disclosing their names because they don't want a bunch of people bothering them about a donkament when they have 9 or 10 figure portfolios to manage

JRB has been playing in the most epic looking 100/200NL private game that has been running at ARia. Only pros that I've seen playing that game are JRB and Viffer, then there are like five 60 year old casino owner dudes. Most unreal game ever... super rigged that it's invite only
