PokerStars, bwin.party, 888 Poker and Ladbrokes are among the 15 poker rooms that were issued operating licenses in Spain. Although no official list has been released by the Spanish Gambling Commission (DGOJ), several private companies have confirmed that they were granted a license. Recently, many online betting companies paid back taxes to Spanish authorities to clear the way for receiving the licences. These companies were among the first to be allowed to operate in the newly regulated market.
In a press statement issued to Pokerfuse.com, PokerStars stated that it has “plans to launch PokerStars.es on June 5th. For now, Spanish players can continue to compete on www.pokerstars.com as normal and don’t need to take any action.” PokerStars runs other segregated sites, such as ps.It and ps.Fr, with tremendous success.
It seems that bwin.Party will use the Spanish market to finally merge bwin and PartyPoker into a single network. According to a financial report, the company considers that Spain will be a "key merger integration milestone for bwin.party." The report also mentions plans to merge the products “on a new, technologically advanced and fully integrated gaming platform.” It's probable that players with account on bwin.ES and PartyPoker.ES will share the same player pool.
The dot.ES poker rooms will go live on June 5.

Playing poker in the Canary Islands would be pretty sick. The front lawn of your hotel is the beach. |

you can actually play on the .es sites. The Spanish regulator "allows" non-spanish to play on .es (as it is on pokerstars.fr) but then it's up to the operators to allow or not the foreigners to sign up. |
