alright so the guy hasnt checkraised once over 827 hands... player 4 was a shortstacker. His range is very much made of draws here so what is my best play here ? call flop and shove over turn bet when a brick arrives ? call and call non diamond ? 3bet the flop with the intention of getting it in ? fold ? call and bluff the diamonds myself if he checks ?

i wouldn't turn a hand like this into a bluff on later streets if a diamond hits...he's not gona fold 2 pair/sets just because a diamond hit.

This raise is very very scary. No c/r over 827 hands, 2.3% 3bet (indicating ultra low aggression) and most importantly of all you block the nfd. That leaves him about 4-5 combos of combodraw and a passive player like this is c/r them no way near 100%. He has 12 combos of 2 pair+ which he does c/r 100%. Overall you are a long long way behind his range equity wise. I wouldn't take this line in general at all, but with all these factors together you can get a step ahead of nits like this in this particular spot by just folding the flop. It sounds and feels crazy and counterintuitive but the combinatronics simply points that way. Calling is obv fine and what most people do, but it's nice to find spots where you can get a jump on the field.

edit: lol I can't believe im recommending fold here, but I only follow the logic. I have a +ve red line and I think it's because I am calling and then folding later less than others.
