In retrospect, how do you feel about your turn play? In other sorta-similar situations?

Its a mistake because it means I m not raising this turn nearly enough and im overly worried about protecting a very rare calling range. Can use worse kings for that.

thx.

I thought it was a shove/fold situation. I'm learning a very nitty style, so it's good to see real players put strategies in action.

frig, what an interesting game.

shove or FOLD? youre getting 3:1 with the nut trips and a lot of outs to the nuts. why would you ever consider fold > call here?

i think call is ok, but raise is better. almost no boats in his range after 3betting pre and probably quite a few bluffs with outs. 765 or clubs have plenty of outs vs us.

would u ever fold pre? or is our hand just too good/connected to fold for that amount despite being OOP?

Yep. Shove or fold. I wrote it therefore it's the correct action.

I didn't put as much consideration into the post as I should have. Clearly ak on this turn is tits. Sorry for mangling this hh w/ my bs.

Why not c/r turn? I'm assuming cuz of deepness/wtf to do if you get raised again. Villain can easily hold low pairs.

I'm just gonna stfu and let the real players talk. My apologies.

youd consider calling for a few reasons:

-we are really deep and we dont have the nuts. and while he has very few boats, he can definitely have a hand like 7744 or 5533 or even K764ds type hands.
-we will mostly just fold out worse hands here.

but i do like raising better for 2 key reasons:
-765 and hands like he has all have a reasonable number of outs against us
-if he has Kxxx, then he likely has 3 or 6 outs and will put more money in on the turn, while if we c/c check, he is probably going to check back unimproved rivers.

but we dont want to raise too big. if we pot Kxxx without a boat or an A may just folds. even if we 3x they might fold due to having few or overlapping outs. but we dont want to minraise either. i guess around 425 is best. decent size with hands like Axcc for bluffing and its one of those zones where weaker Kxxx probably calls but its probably a mistake to do so.
