it is actually a very advanced play he is betting so small because he is only trying to bluff out a few hands and since that is a small part of ur range he lays the appropriate long price. Get 9x/10x to dump

the large amounts he makes when bluffing .75 into 5 and taking down a pot he otherwise would have lost checking make up for the times (which will occur more often) he bets .75 and loses.

plus he might block you from bluffing with an even worse pair

think about it would a larger bet (non overbet) really get you to fold more of your range than a small bet here. you Call ace high+ with both so the only difference is on the 4 times larger bet you might fold some Q or even K high you otherwise wouldn't. I don't think getting one maybe 2 of those combo sets (Qx combos, maybe Kx) to fold is worth 4x the bet of only getting 9x,10x, to fold

typed this trolling but it's starting to make some sense to me now. Time for sleep

i guess that is an "i wish i had bet turn" block

It seems to be not very profitable in the long run to play those kind of hands. - Gus Hansen

not sure if trolling

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us and as we let our own lights shine we unconsciously give other people permision to do the same
