funny how dankness said he was a bad player, watched last PLO sweat of that yaarny guy and he talked about him calling a 3b with 88xx and the 3bettor checked and he said he was going to take a "stab". even though I never played a hand in plo and always play nlhe, the way he talked about that hand just seemed bad. makes me wonder if he's the worse player lol

Ask Raszi to talk about his transition from Starcraft to poker. Something simple like when he first started, a few lan events he went to, then when he first knew poker was better for him to pursue as a longterm hobby + job and to stop wasting so much time playing Starcraft.

Great show! Joey you might wanna think about investing into some of the better podcast gears :D

This seems like a must-have for talkshows/podcasts. Your voice will instantly sound much better:

I don't know if you do twitch.tv, but I think you should still look into setting up xsplit for Google Hangout on Air (you will need a slightly better machine to run it), but you can setup some cool overlays, have all the participants side by side on one screen etc. Although I do like the auto-switching from Youtube.

Posting a Starcraft 2 podcast from this guy to give you a better understanding:

PM me if you need some help. I am glad to help.

Hi Joe,

I've never really watched your podcasts before but I really enjoyed this one, so much I am going to watch a bunch of the other ones over the next few weeks.

Lex, I really enjoyed your commentary and agreed with almost everything you said (As did Joe - lol). As a midstakes plo player who just doesn't put enough effort into actually playing as many hands as I should this podcast really gave me inspiration to just go ahead and play alot more like you guys.

Also been railing this Yaaarny challenge pretty hard, its so sick, this guy taking things to whole new levels, like I haven't a clue whats going on.

Anyway, thanks again I'll try to become a regular contributer in relation to asking questions for future podcasts.

poker is soooo much easier when you flop sets

Totally agree with this. I watched the whole podcast and was glued for 2 hours. Really nice podcast joe

if poker is dangerous to them i would rank sports betting as a Kodiak grizzly bear who smells blood after you just threw a javelin into his cub - RaiNKhAN

Questions for Lex:

You said you would do the 24-tabling challenge playing 2/4 or 1/2 refering to lower stakes as boring.

Did you mean to say that as in its very little money so its not interesting to you... or do you think playing .10/.25 and .25/.50 requires a style of play with very standard lines (not a lot of bluffing etc) and therefore makes it boring?

I am a relatively new player giving .10/.25 a shot so I'm kind of looking for general insights onto chrushing these stakes. Might as well know it should feel boring? as changing styles or creative lines might be -EV?

Other than that I quite enjoyed the episode! Thanks for the podcast.

Thanks.

Also have to say I agree with your disgust of poker assholes in general.

Whether they are being assholes on forums or live tables it feels almost like these type of players are playing poker for the status ( "look at me i don't have to work" or "im so smart" ). They don't realize the damage they do to poker in general and to their profit if they are indeed good.

It seems to be not very profitable in the long run to play those kind of hands. - Gus Hansen

<3 the rant on how boring NL is

"if he raises me alot im just gonna fucking reraise"

made me so fucking happy to even hear u say that, even made me tear up a bit cuz just hearing u talk about poker like that, its like the first time in over 2 years with NL that i even got a breeze of old street poker again. Now its all about haveing everything figured out down to every single combo, and GTO/CRev/seatscripting and gameselection and doing fucking yoga inbetween sessions to increase ur edge for the next session like its just insane. And ive fucking been doing the same things cuz if u dont ur fucking screwed if u wanna play midstakes+ today. And it completely have burnt me out and theres no fun left.

Thank god ive made the switch to PLO these past months, i hope i can bring some streetpoker and fun back to my sessions aswell

ty lex, gw joe
